After years of struggling to find extensions for textured hair, I noticed I wasn't the only one with a problem.

The more friends I spoke to, the more I came to realise that there was a serious gap in the market. One week later and many late nights thinking, I had created my first business plan.

Two years had passed and I had successfully managed to build a second income stream alongside my career as a social worker.

Demand was growing and one thing became clear... I needed an extra pair of hands. It was time to move out of my kitchen salon and into a rented space!

A new space had been found, lease signed and 1 team member added to my growing business. I decided to educate myself in the art of social media promotion, a skill which ultimately BLEW UP my brand!

Entrepreneurship is a rollercoaster. With the good comes the bad. One year after opening my first 2 chair salon, business turned south.

Outgoings increased and the business required a new model if it was going to survive.

Through the difficulties we develop our strengths which was exactly how I found my incredible success.

During the difficulties, my sister encouraged me to niche down on my demographic; offering hair extensions exclusively to Black women who at the time had limited hair extension options.

With a change in operation, I saw an incredible demand. Combined with my social media strategy my business skyrocketted!

The rest was history.
